Want to get fit in 2018? Don’t focus so much on the tiny details like which exact weight training program is the best and which exact diet you should do. Start simple – just be consistent! Those details don’t matter if you’re not actually making it to the gym regularly or eating healthy on a daily basis.
That’s what Fit Tip #2 is – Be Consistent! Pick a goal and stick with it until it’s a habit, then add to it from there. Maybe that means you resolve to go to the gym 3 days per week. Doesn’t matter what you do – cardio, weights…just get yourself there and do something for at least 30 minutes. Once you’ve got the routine nailed down, then get particular about your program. Or perhaps you decide to start eating a serving of vegetables 3 times per day. Don’t get hung up on which vegetable is the best or lowest glycemic index, just include something! Again, once you’ve made it a habit, then concern yourself more with the details.
You’ll be much more likely to succeed if you form the habit first! Don’t get bogged down in the details, which can become overwhelming and make you want to quit before you start. Just do a few things well, because if you can’t stick with it, it won’t matter how amazing your plan was.
